Coordinator Open Space Volunteers
Permanent, Full-Time Opportunity
Salary Range - $90,604 - $96,905 plus superannuation (depending on skills and experience)

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the most committed and passionate volunteers in our community. The City of Mitcham has over 945 hectares of Open Space and some of our volunteers work in these areas every day.
Safety is our priority, and this role will ensure the volunteers are effectively recruited and inducted to work in our reserves and Open Spaces. It will also work closely with the Open Space team to identify suitable areas for volunteering in our community, including the beautification of our verges.
The role will work with relevant departments at Council and also external organisations where appropriate, to maximise the benefit that Open Space volunteering brings to our community.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A sound knowledge of horticultural practices, weed management techniques and horticultural program management.
- Experience in managing and working with volunteers.
- A sound knowledge of occupational WHS requirements.
- And a passion to work in a rewarding area of council work!
