Job/Responsibilities
Council is currently looking for a mature, reliable, self-motivated person to join the Children's Services team as a Coordinator - Out of School Hours Care. Duties include:
- Coordinate and effectively run the Out of School Hours (OSHC) including before and after School Services and Vacation Care services.
- lead the development and implementation of the educational curriculum as the Educational Leader
- To ensure that all children are provided with a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment and supported in their relationships with educators, themselves and other children
- Apply conflict resolution and problem solving techniques with staff and parents for the resolution of issue
- To ensure the wellbeing and safety of all children within the centre; adhere to Council’s Child Safe Policy and be aware of child safety risks relevant to the role and contribute to the management and mitigation of risks, proportionate to role and function
So who are we looking for?
To be successful in this position you will need to have:
- Extensive experience in a similar role (Education and Care setting is desirable)
- Recognised Teaching Degree or equivalent
- Understanding of and demonstrated ability to work in accordance with the National Quality Framework
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills that promotes high team performance
- High level communication skills including the capability to interact with the public while maintaining effective customer service and relationship management
- Experience in monitoring budgets
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, including the capability to work to deadlines and set priorities
