Band 7
Salary $ 105.337.02 + Super/ RDO + Flexible Working
19 day month or 9 day fortnight RDO option, your choice!

The Role

The Coordinator Partnerships and Programs is responsible for leading a team to coordinate, plan and deliver programs designed to provide support to local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in the City of Whittlesea, to improve social and emotional wellbeing and connection to community and culture.

The Coordinator Partnerships and Programs develops and strengthens the relationships between Council and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and communities.

The position leads the Partnerships and Programs team to deliver on Council’s strategic actions and directions, including:

  • Supporting service delivery and initiatives linked to the Aboriginal Gathering Place project
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the Reconciliation Action Plan
  • Supporting the Whittlesea Reconciliation Action Group
  • Supporting the Whittlesea Aboriginal Gathering Place Advisory Group
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders
  • Providing support and expertise to internal stakeholders on programming and service delivery

About you
You are passionate about planning & delivering cultural programs, building productive Partnerships and leading a dedicated team to provide support to local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in the the local community.
