About the role
We are looking for a motivated person to join the Finance team where you will be responsible for the effective management of Council's rates and revenue services including raising and collecting rates with a focus on optimising the experience customers have with Council whilst leading the Rates team through Councils systems transformation journey.
Moorabool Shire is currently embarking on its digital transformation journey and is implementing a new Property & Rating system in support of its vision. We currently have an exciting opportunity for someone to lead and support a highly motivated and well-resourced team through a change management process in support of wider organisational goals.

Desired Skills and Experience
About you
You will have completed TAFE / Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration / Finance, or possess significant and relevant experience in Revenue Management, and have extensive experience and understanding in revenue collection and financial administration at a supervisory level. You will utilise your experience and knowledge in support of the day to day functions of the service unit and in pursuit of the broader objectives of the organisation.
The successful applicant will have highly developed communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships both internally and externally. The successful incumbent will have good public relations and conflict resolution skills with a demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with ratepayers, members of the public, council employees and various stakeholders in the pursuit of specific and set objectives.
