$99,074.43 to $118,449.68 p.a. + super + mobile phone
Car allowance of $8,500 pa or access to Council vehicle (via private use lease fees)
Up to $10,000 additional allowance for exceptional candidate
35 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Coordinator Risk Management to join our Governance & Risk team.
Reporting to the Manager Governance & Risk, you will work alongside a Senior Claims, Insurance & Risk Officer and a Claims, Insurance & Risk Officer to deliver Council’s Risk Management Framework.
The Coordinator Risk Management will support the effective and efficient coordination of Council’s organisation-wide enterprise Risk Management framework, undertake risk assessments, provide internal and external support on risk related activities. The role will be responsible for the enterprise Risk Management framework, development and delivery of training in relation to Risk Management activities, undertaking regular reviews of Council’s Strategic & Operational Risks, coordination of internal audits, embedding Business Continuing Planning and providing expert risk advice to the organisation.
This is a collaborative role in that you will proactively provide customer focused support to management and staff on business assurance related areas, raising the awareness and profile of the Risk function and team across the organisation. A key role within the organisation will see you work alongside Council’s Work Health & Safety team to ensure risk matrix synergies and best practice and continuous improvement is achieved.
About you
The successful Candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Risk Management and demonstrated experience in a similar role in Risk Management, developing and reviewing Risk Management frameworks and embedding such into progressive organisation. You will have proven ability to set priorities and demonstrate excellent customer service. You will be a high achiever with:
Essential Criteria:
Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management.
Demonstrated relevant extensive industry experience (i.e. ideally two of more years in Risk Management).
Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of a Risk Management Framework.
Demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance of Business Continuity plans/frameworks.
Demonstrated experience in the development, review and maintenance of Fraud & Corruption Frameworks.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive team performance and train, develop and mentor individuals to achieve Risk Management outcomes.
Demonstrated knowledge of continuous and business improvement concepts.
Demonstrated data analysis and interpretation skills particular with regards to Strategic Risk Registers, Operational Risk Registers, claims management.
High level oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, set priorities, develop work plans, project manage to meet objectives and deadlines.
Developed analytical and investigative skills.
Demonstrated skills in development and delivery of training for staff at all levels.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of the workforce.
Demonstrated understanding of Work, Health & Safety and Equal Employment Opportunity.
Desirable Criteria
Local Government Experience.
Relevant and practical experience in insurance and workers compensation insurance.
Demonstrated understanding in management concepts including but not limited to Service Level Agreements.
Current C Class drivers licence.
