About the Role

Reporting to the Shutdown Electrical Lead, the Shutdown Electrical Coordinator is the interface for all stakeholders during all execution activities. This is a permanent position on an 8/6 days only FIFO roster from Perth. 


During the planning cycle you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and providing input in the continuous improvement of our shutdown process
  • Liaising with Operations and Maintenance teams to validate and challenge the scope of work, including preparation requirements, isolation requirements and maintenance activities 
  • Develop and implement improvement projects within the Shutdown Execution team 
  • Detailed scope review and management in preparation for shutdowns
  • Facilitate weekly department meetings
  • Accommodate Engineering projects to ensure all work being undertaken in area of control is adhering to schedule and the Shutdown Management Framework


During execution you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment 
  • Executing the shutdown plan in conjunction with Site Maintenance Execution, our Maintenance Centre of Excellence’s Planners, Schedulers and other stakeholders 
  • Promoting a high level of team interaction and coordination 
  • Optimising the utilisation of resources throughout the shutdown 
  • Liaising with contractors for various activities such as mobilisation, task execution and demobilisation
  • Liaising with the Shutdown Scheduler to ensure schedule is updated during execution to reflect performance against plan 

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:

  • C Class drivers licence 
  • Supervisory experience essential
  • Shutdown maintenance experience beneficial 
  • A Grade Electrical Trade Certification essential
  • Strong safety leadership skills
