About the Position
As a Coordinator Student Communications, you will be responsible for working with staff across the University to ensure student-facing communications are relevant, easy to understand, engaging and consistently written. This will involve working closely with colleagues across the University, including the Marketing, Media and Communication team to facilitate consistent outcomes by:

  • Coordinating an annual cycle of outbound student communications
  • Assisting staff with drafting, striving for clarity of written expression and a consistent writing style
  • Using inbound student enquiries as a source of wisdom for improvement in outbound channels, including web, EDM, SMS, social and mobile applications
  • Ensuring current student web pages are intuitive to navigate and surface the right content at the right times of year

About You
To be successful, you will possess:

  • A relevant undergraduate qualification and a body of knowledge in a related professional area.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more aspects of communications, including managing channels, implementing platforms, creating style guides, training staff and creating copy
  • Exceptional communication skills, with excellent written skills suitable for drafting multi-channel copy, and the capacity to build communications skills across the University, with consistent uptake in a distributed environment
  • The ability to strongly influence stakeholders through outstanding relationship management and negotiation skills, ensuring staff fulfill their obligations in a timely manner

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 7, the base salary will be in the range $86,390 to $94,829 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $101,076 to $110,949 per annum including 17% superannuation.
