Northparkes will celebrate 30 years of operations in 2024 and is known for innovative technology and committed people. Northparkes uses multiple mining methods including open pit, sub-level caving and was the first mine in Australia to use the block cave mining method. Our Underground Coordinator - Operations:
This position is within the Underground Mining Department and provides leadership in the mine operations area which includes production and development.This role is integral for the optimisation of the total underground mine performance, having to coordinate and prioritise work flow to ensure maximum utilisation of resources and personnel.
The successful candidate will be employed on a permanent basis and will work back to back with another Coordinator.
The successful applicant will possess the following essential criteria:
- Supervisory and leadership experience
- Underground Supervisor Certificate
- Sound understanding of operations practices
- Ability to build a cross-shift relationship and deliver consistent messages
- Experience managing a diverse workload based on priorities
- Project management skills
- Well-developed problem solving skills
- Strong understanding of safety processes and driving change
