ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
We are seeking an enthusiastic and appropriately experienced leader to join our Water and Wastewater section.
Reporting to the Manager Water and Wastewater, this position is responsible for the coordination of Council’s water, wasteWater and treatment plant work teams to ensure efficient completion of network programs. The position will also provide technical advice and process improvement recommendations to improve network efficiencies and ensure consistency with Council’s vision and meet the objectives of Council’s Delivery and Operational plans.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and the proven ability to lead and motivate teams. You will play a key role on modelling and promoting Council’s and the Water and Wastewater Section values.

- Qualifications in Communications, Business, Leadership, Engineering or a similar field.
- Demonstrated experience in and ability to lead and manage teams.
- Proven project and program management skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.
- Proven effective problem solving and process improvement skills.
- Demonstrated well developed communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to develop and implement Water and Wastewater reports, procedures and policies.
The rewards
- An annual salary range of $98,600 to $113,100 (plus 11% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
- 19 day four week working arrangement. Council is currently trialling a range of flexible working options. Subject to operational requirements, full time office staff will have access to a nine day fortnight, with a thirty minute lunch break. For the duration of the trial arrangement, staff will also have the option to apply to work a compressed four day work week, subject to operational requirements and approval.
