About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator who will be responsible for Monitoring the consistency of material entering the factory, in-process check points during the assembly of TNA equipment and the outgoing product quality. Where deficiencies are highlighted then identify and implement suitable corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) so a demonstrable improvement can be measured.
You will be reporting to the Quality Manager and be based at our Alexandria Factory in Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day responsibility for the quality of the components being received from suppliers and the final product being shipped out of the factory
- Inspection of inward and outgoing goods to ensure there are no non-conformances, investigate cause and implement CAPAs within the specified limits.
- Ability and authority to cease production and customer shipments, and quarantine any defective part within the manufacturing process
- Collate data pertaining to product non-conformance and customer complaints, their root cause and appropriate CAPA; prepare reports showing trends and other factors.
- Process warranty RMA parts, verify acceptability of returning parts, ensure part is return to original supplier for credit and investigation
- Lead the Factory Acceptance Testing for all machines produced inhouse and externally.
- Drive the development of our Quality Assurance procedures and documentation.
- Other tasks and duties as reasonably requested
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Technical College or Trade Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree work and thinking level and/or experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment
- “Batch Processing” involving complex engineering products will be a significant advantage.
- Lean Manufacturing experience is advantageous
- Solid knowledge of MRP & ERP based inventory management procedures and enterprise systems for inwards goods handling and stock control activities.
- Sound understanding of material supply and distribution chains.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawing including and understanding the application of symbols and tolerances.
- Methodical and well organised.
- Able to multitask, be flexible and work under pressure.
- Self-motivated and driven, able to work unsupervised but be part of the bigger team.
- Identification with tna values including being passionate, being responsible, welcoming change and being a team player
- Ability to manage & contend with strong personalities.
- Able to problem solve & make decisions in line with organisational philosophies and practices.
- High level of written, verbal and numeracy skills.
- Demonstrates a willingness & ability to deliver information using different methods and ensuring that messages have been received and understood.
- Sound PC skills.
- High level of English language proficiency, written and verbal.
