The Brisbane Broncos are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join the team as a First nations Regional Program Lead. This leadership position is integral to the successful delivery of the Beyond the Broncos Mentoring Programs for First Nations program participants in years 7-12 across Southern Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
There are two First Nations Regional Program Lead positions and will cover the following regions:
• South Coast (Logan & NSW)
• North (Moreton & North Coast)
This is a newly created role within our Community department and reporting to the First Nations Education Programs Manager, the key responsibilities of this role include:
Program Management:
• Lead and manage a team in the region, ensuring successful program delivery and high operational standards.
• Manage program performance, achieve contractual and organizational KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
• Effectively manage contract resources, foster connections with local communities, and make informed decisions grounded in risk analysis.
Stakeholder Management:
• Establish and maintain external relationships within the region, ensuring purposeful follow-ups.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, internally and externally, to fulfill partnership and contractual obligations.
• Act as the Brisbane Broncos’ representative at relevant events, meetings, and activities.
Leadership and Team Management:
• Demonstrate leadership within the region, including effective people management and accountability.
• Lead the team to achieve planned objectives, providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
Monitoring, Reporting, and Evaluation:
• Ensure progress within programs is measured and reported.
• Assist in the preparation of new proposals and presentations as needed.
Administration:
• Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping for the region, providing project and administrative support.
• Perform duties required by the Program Manager or General Manager to enhance efficiency.

Key Criteria
• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline (Youth Work, Education, or Community Services)
• 4+ years' diverse role experience, specializing in program coordination and leadership.
• Proven skills in relationship building, communication, decision-making, coaching, and teamwork.
• Experience in program administration, government, and community services.
• Track record in effective team leadership and achieving program objectives.
• In-depth understanding of challenges faced by First Nations youth in education.
• Established relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Exceptional time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with strong writing skills for reports and presentations.
• Flexible and dynamic leader, maintaining composure under pressure.
• Effective communication with stakeholders in various settings.
• Tailors’ communication for diverse audiences and seeks feedback for clarity.
• Establishes trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solving and initiative-taking.
• Strong promotion, marketing, and relationship-building skills across diverse segments.
