DELIVERY OF CAPITAL WORKS PROGRAM FOR ROAD AND STORMWATER ASSETS

About You

This is a chance to apply your extensive knowledge of Road and Stormwater Capital Works Programs including scheduling, estimating, forecasting and reporting. You will be responsible for high level planning, monitoring and reporting of the road and stormwater capital program throughout our expansive region.

The Team

The Construction and Maintenance Branch (CM) forms part of the Infrastructure Services Group (ISG) and is responsible for developing and maintaining community infrastructure including stormwater drainage/culverts, footpath/cycleway,  Council-owned quarries, and road and bridge infrastructure assets.

The Construction & Maintenance Executive Unit provides oversight to the three Construction and Maintenance Branches (North, South and Central) whilst delivering the key functions of Capital Works Programming, Quarrying Operations, and implementation of the Integrated Management System (IMS) across all of the CM Branches.

About the position

  • This is a permanent full-time position based in the Toowoomba CBD.
  • The annual salary range for this position is $109,817.33 - $123,936.67 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

How to be successful in this position

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from a recognised University with extensive relevant experience.
  • RPEQ or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Postgraduate qualification in program/project management and/or relevant technical qualifications are desirable.
  • Significant knowledge and experience in civil design, estimating, construction and program/project management.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a small team and collaborate with peers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork.
