Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This Brisbane-based role offers a unique opportunity to establish and oversee robust financial procedures and practices, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Corporate Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with AASB and company policies
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all general ledger journal entries are prepared timely and accurately
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies proactively
- Ownership of bank account reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Managing WIP, Fixed Asset Registers and depreciation
- Preparation of internal and external monthly management reports and board reporting
- Review of contracts and commercial arrangements for potential embedded leases or accounting implications for consideration
- Assist with the coordination of the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process
The ideal Corporate Financial Accountant will bring a wealth of experience in accounting and reporting.
- Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in accounting and reporting
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
- Experience in managing month-end reporting obligations
- Strong communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively across all levels of an organisation in a fast-paced environment
- CA/CPA qualification with strong commercial acumen developed via relevant post-qualification experience
