Corporate Governance and Risk provides leadership and advice to the CEO in the areas of effective corporate governance, including legislation, policy and risk.
About the Role:
SALHN is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Corporate Risk Consultant. The successful candidate will be instrumental in advancing SALHN's risk management system and processes, aligning them with SA Health Risk Management Policy and Australian Standards. This role reports directly to the Manager, Corporate Governance and contributes to the organisation's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with Executive and senior management to identify assess and monitor strategic risks and complex organisational risks as directed.
- Coordinating with the Board the risk appetite and risk tolerances for the organisation.
- Driving continuous improvement with a range of stakeholders through maturity assessment, strategy development and implementation, and reporting on progress and benefit realisation.
- Engaging with other governance systems leaders, collaborating in activities to integrate governance systems for sustainable risk, audit and compliance control validation.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for the Board, Executive Leadership Committee, and other corporate committees on emerging and assessed risks.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in risk management, governance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies.
- Familiarity with SA Health Systemwide Risk Management Policy and Australian Standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
