Mitsui E&P Australia Pty Ltd (MEPAU) is an Australian subsidiary of the global Mitsui & Co., Ltd. group and is responsible for driving growth in energy investments in the region. We are focused on establishing a responsible, reliable, and sustainable supply of energy to meet growing demands, with interests in various onshore and offshore projects in Australia, and we are a rapidly growing operator in the Perth Basin.
We’re seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisortojoin our Corporate HSE team of experienced professionals on a fulltime basis.
Reporting to the Head of HSES, you will provide Health and Safety management support and advice across the organization, with hands-on support to various functions as required. This role will be a leader in MEPAU’s ongoing focus on safety culture, while also developing and participating in MEPAU’s internal assurance and risk assessment processes. In addition, this role will provide Health and Safety support and direction to our Carbon Solutions business unit on an ongoing basis.

To be successful in this role, you’ll require the following skills and experience:
- 10 years’ experience in the Petroleum or related industry in a Health and Safety role
- Tertiary qualifications in HSE or related discipline
- A strong working knowledge of contemporary HSE regulatory requirements and industry practices
- Experience supporting crisis and emergency response capabilities within a complex organization highly desirable
- Lead auditor qualification is desirable.
- ICAM RCA qualifications desirable.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute positively to our workplace culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
