AddressOne of the world's leading independently-owned and managed accounting, advisory and consulting firms, is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to serve as Manager or Senior Manager for its growing Corporate Taxation Division within its Brisbane office. By joining the team, you will deliver integrated advice to private business owners, family groups and high-net worth (HNW) clients that considers the unique dynamics of such businesses.
The role:
- Provide tailored technical income tax advice
- Client relationship management and assistance with compliance of related party loans, tax planning and structuring advice
- Manage tax compliance and governance frameworks for large client groups, including those that feature sizeable trusts
- Assist dynamic clients undertaking transactions
- Advise on business structuring and tax due diligence
- Advise on and address tax issues affecting cross-border investments and structures
- Assist with revenue office submissions, reviews and audits
- Recognizing potential additional work opportunities among current clients and actively promoting the firm and its services to both clients and associates.
- Manage the team training and mentoring with responsibilities to help grow the team’s knowledge and contribute to the business as a whole.
- Managing multi-jurisdiction teams and coordination with other experts engaged in the project.
- Have work rights, Australian Citizenship or hold Permanent Residency status in Australia
- At least 5+ years’ experience with Corporate Tax and Advisory, with strong technical skills;
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar and completed CA/CPA/CTA qualifications;
- A solid understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Previous experience leading, coaching and mentoring less experienced team members
