Closing Date: Sunday, 26th of MayAbout your new job:We are seeking for our next Registered Nurse to join our Paediatric Unit at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital. Our 8-bed ward caters to children aged 1 month to 17 years, providing a vibrant environment where each day brings new challenges and experiences. Your ability to manage time effectively, show compassion, and demonstrate adept escalation skills will be crucial as you navigate high-pressure situations on a daily basis.We're committed to fostering continuous growth and development among our staff, offering comprehensive training and educational opportunities to ensure that you evolve into a well-rounded healthcare professional. We offer specialised training in airway management and advanced life support to further enhance your skills. Each shift is staffed by two Registered Nurses and you will have flexibility within working hours the spam morning, afternoon and night shifts. Every day presents new opportunities to utilize a diverse range of skills and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our young patients.Where you will be working:

  • With a focus on flexibility, our shift schedules accommodate morning, afternoon, and night rotations.
  • Our responsibility may extend to providing palliative care for children returning from hospitals like HJJ or Westmead, including managing pick-lines and administering infusions. Your orientation to the ward will be facilitated by our CNE, who will also pair you with senior clinical staff to provide mentorship and support.
  • A graceful city of tree-lined streets, Armidale is a five-and-a-half-hour drive from Sydney and less than 90 minutes from Tamworth, with flights between Sydney and Armidale operating daily for under an hour fly time.
  • Armidale is surrounded by beautiful forests, mountain gorges, national parks, and waterfalls, including Wollomombi Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in Australia.|
