About the Role We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our Downer team. This role will initially be located onsite in Katherine, NT, however, will be scaled back and will then be office based in Brisbane, QLD.Preparation and Finalisation of progress claim Ability to work with engineers to get quantities of work completedThe ability to understand indirect cost and how to be best recoverSupport variation capture and documentationMaintaining cost forecast and in particular forecast to complete for all costs Provide data on suppliers/subcontractor materials and labour needed to execute planned work packageTrack costs completed and earned value so that accurate forecast to complete can be achievedEstablish and monitor the overall master schedule ensuring ongoing compliance to agreed project schedules, milestones and overall completion timetablesCost control Assist the Project Manager with data for project cost reports and the review of project forecasts in line with specific project requirementsOversee Outstanding Commitments in JDE with the suppliersImplement and maintain cost control as per approved financial processesRegularly perform analytical reviews of cost reporting documentation and present costs status and forecast updatesReporting Attend and provide input to weekly & monthly project management meetingsForecasting manning requirements for project completionReviewing material requisitions and tender schedules for compatibility with budget and forecastProducing ad-hoc reports as required by either senior management or the clientAbout YouMinimum 5 years+ experience as a Cost ControllerAdvanced knowledge in JDEAbility to work well as a teamExcellent attention to detail, time management and ability to self-manageProject Manager experience desirableHave experience in reporting financials to clientsExcellent communication skills across all levels of the businessWhat We OfferEmployee benefits including health and wellness initiativesPersonalised career development and growth working with an industry leading team.Competitive remuneration packageSafety focused culture working within in leading services industryManagement support coupled with ongoing training and mentoringCareer enhancing opportunity to work within an ASX limited companyDowner is made up of more than 33,000 people who are all different.
