Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.
This is a newly created role, which would ideally be based at site in Buronga (near Mildura). This would be a 14:7 roster, and would suit someone interested in FIFO/DIDO, or indeed a local from the Riverina area.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Develop, maintain and analyse cost in the estimating database, and assist in cost managing across all facets of engineering, procurement, subcontracts, fabrication, construction, pre-commissioning and closeout.
- Produce estimates for change requests and analyse/evaluate variations
- Understand the agreed scope, pricing schedule, commercial framework and reporting obligations against the head contract.
- Understand the agreed scope, pricing schedule, commercial framework against assigned scope packages.
- Assist the Senior Cost Controller to cost & progress manage assigned scope packages, target controls; Budget allocation and management, change control & analysis, cost control and monitoring of commitments & actuals, EV progress measurement and monitoring, quantity and manhour analysis, trending analysis and reporting and forecasting techniques and methodology.
Qualifications and Experience required for this role include:
- Tertiary qualified in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum 5+ years in cost control
- Experience in Project Execution environment preferred.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure or Construction industries preferred
- Advanced competencies in MS Excel
