Address About the Role:
We currently have position for a Counsellor in our new specialist therapeutic program supporting young people with harmful sexual behaviours. In this role you will provide direct evidenced-based therapeutic support to young people with harmful sexual behaviours and their caregivers through specialist assessment, intervention, psychoeducational programs, and multi-agency case management.
Part-time or full-time options will be considered for the right candidate.
About You:
We are looking for an individual who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people and families. The successful candidate will bring the following:
Essential
- A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or related discipline with knowledge and experience relevant to the role.
- Eligibility for membership in the relevant professional association.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in providing direct service in clinical assessment and therapeutic interventions for children, young people, and families.
- A demonstrated commitment to collaborative working and ability to effectively communicate across a range of stakeholders including caregivers, government, and non-government agencies.
- A sound understanding of the challenges that influence the lives of both families and young people and the capacity to thrive in a challenging and complex practice environment.
Highly Desirable
- Registered psychologist with Clinical or Forensic endorsement
- Demonstrated knowledge of theoretical frameworks and interventions relevant to this role.
- The successful candidate must have current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check (or equivalent), and a current WA Driver’s Licence (or equivalent).
