This is a Permanent Part Time at 30.40 hours per fortnight.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Position Profile: Within a multidisciplinary and professional team context provides a specialised clinical psychology service in pain management requiring a high level of knowledge, experience and competence to people with acute pain, cancer pain and persistent pain and their families presenting with comorbid mental health and psychological problems. Provides specialised consultation, education, research and supervision to Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Psychology Registrars and Trainees to both internal and external services. Also provides specialised level of consultation, liaison and education to other health professionals. Practices as a Clinical Psychologist and ensures practice is in accordance with laws and ethical standards governing psychological practice as per the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and EMHS values, policies and guidelines.

Area Profile: Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) is Perth’s inner city, tertiary adult hospital and part of the Royal Perth Bentley Group. Home to the State Major Adult Trauma Service, RPH offers tertiary-level emergency medicine, mental health, complex and elective surgical care, and specialist medical services. It is also a premier teaching hospital and contributes to innovation and excellence in medical research and patient care.
