Job description

Ocean Alliance is seeking a highly skilled and creative Video and Film Producer to join our team and lead the in-house creative and video production department to produce highly engaging marketing material that showcases the superyacht experiences in Australia and beyond. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video production (at least three years), project management skills, a keen eye for detail and experience producing material for super yachts. The position is full-time and the indicative salary for the position is $80,000 plus superannuation and will be based in Sydney, although overseas travel will be required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of pre-production (scheduling shoots, treatments, storyboards, scripts, locations, shot lists, equipment), the production and post-production
  • Lead our content strategy across all platforms from short form social content to larger productions and series
  • Develop and implement brand strategy in line with company values and goals
  • Contribute to the direction of daily marketing activities and participate in marketing activities as required.
  • Coordinate with clients and partners within the industry and external partners on content creation and superyacht marketing
  • Develop engaging video concepts that effectively communicate key messages and enhance brand identity of the superyachts marketed by Ocean Alliance
  • Produce video interviews both internally and collaboratively with our partners
  • Responsible for developing the business strategy and success of company’s creative/content arm
  • Direct on-set activities, ensuring that all elements of the production meet quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during filming, adapting plans as needed to ensure project success.
  • Refine footage, add visual effects, and enhance audio elements to video based on further input from marketing professionals, owners, industry bodies etc.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video production, incorporating new techniques and tools to enhance the quality and impact of our content.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film production, media studies, communications, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proven experience as a video/film producer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful projects focussing on the super yacht industry.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and other relevant production tools.
  • 3 years minimum experience working within the superyacht industry and a thorough understanding of the industry landscape
  • Proven experience producing and conducting interviews with high-profile individuals – superyacht industry experience a bonus
  • Have an existing network of creative contacts to collaborate with on a project-by-project basis
  • Entrepreneurial attitude to align content creation strategy with business goals and development
  • Proven ability to produce creative content tailored for the superyacht industry
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
