Anglicare WA is a highly regarded not for profit organisation, delivering a diverse range of community services throughout WA.  Anglicare WA provides a number of programs and services that support young people at risk of homelessness in Western Australia.  Foyer Oxford, for example, offers stable accommodation and personalised case management support to assist young people to remain engaged in full time education, training and employment and to develop skills to transition into living independently in the community. About the role

There are a variety of supports available to young families at Foyer, including participation in parenting skills, early childhood development workshops etc, delivered by our Young Parents Yarning staff. As a Creche Worker your role will be to supervise small children playing while these workshops are in session. This will include getting involved in age appropriate play activities, ensuring the children's safety at all times. 

This is a part time contract until June 2025, working 7.5 hrs per week with some capacity to work additional hours from time to time depending on the timing of the workshops being held. 


About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Some experience in childcare
  • A positive can do attitude
  • Great rapport building skills with young children
  • Good organisational and communication skills 
  • Be well versed in child safe practices 
  • a TAFE level qualification in childcare would be desirable but not absolutely necessary 

The successful candidate must also possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a valid Working With Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence

  • A salary from $52,354 per annum (pro rata) + 11% superannuation
  • Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
