Credit Officer - Majors

As a market leader in their field, this renowned brand operates with over 800 staff nationally and prides itself on providing excellent customer service and continuous support to its customers.The RoleReporting to the Credit Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join a close-knit team. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing approximately 260 major accounts.
• Processing credit card payments, EFT, and cash banking.
• Collecting overdue payments and working towards reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
• Providing exceptional customer service and promptly investigating discrepancies.
• Conducting regular risk reviews.
• Accurately reconciling customer accounts.
• Reporting on financial numbers and disputes throughout the month.
• Coordinating with mercantile agents when necessary.
• Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting, including journal entries.

The CandidateThe ideal candidate will have:

• Experience managing primarily major accounts.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including knowledge of V-Lookup and Pivot Tables.
• Proven ability to reduce DSO and manage your own ledger.
• Self-motivation and a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A team-oriented mindset.
• Availability to work onsite 5 days per week.
