About the role
This role offers the ability to work from anywhere in Australia, with the flexibility to work fully remote or come into the office a couple of days a week on a hybrid arrangement in one of our locations in NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, or SA.
Reporting to the Credit Manager, this role is responsible for the recovery of overdue payments. The Credit Officers are required to contact customers across a variety of industries and work with them to resolve outstanding balances.
Other responsibilities include:
- Contact customers via phone and email to inform them of overdue invoices.
- Advise customers on their payment options and suggest methods of payment.
- Thorough account investigation required to gain a complete understanding of the account and any customer issues.
- Resolve issues speedily and in compliance with standard operating procedures whilst meeting performance targets.
- Resolve complex invoice and payment issues with customers and team members.
- Negotiate payment plans and account settlements with customers.
- Send final demand letters to customers who fail to meet payment obligation.
- Liaise with our external collections agency, providing relevant information to assist with customer dispute resolution.
- Customer relationship building.
- Process customer online payments.
- Acquire purchase orders.

- Liaise with stakeholders regarding payment processing
About you:
- Experienced with Microsoft Excel (intermediate)
- 2+ years experience in debt recovery
- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution kills
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Customer focused
