The Company specialises in domestic mortgages to Australian resident borrowers for properties in Australia and in non-resident mortgages for properties in Australia and the UK.
BC Invest has 11 global offices. BC Invest operates two Australia offices, Melbourne and Sydney. Due to growth in the company there is an opportunity for a Credit Officer to join the Melbourne team.
Your new role:
As a Credit Officer, you will be:
- Perform Credit assessments on allocated files.
- Provide recommendation(s) to relative Delegated Lending Authority holder(s).
- Identifying and reporting fraudulent documents/files.
- Maintaining the highest level of data quality.
- Managing operational risk, by using personal judgement and experiences to identify risk situations.
- Understanding the credit policy and ensure BC’s overall quality remains within our risk appetite.
- Ensuring compliance with BC’s credit related policies, regulatory guidance, and legal requirements.
- Building effective stakeholder management to ensure fluid access to information and improved outcomes.
- Contributing to an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with:-
- 2-3 years' experience in lending
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications preferred
- Ability to work unsupervised, self-motivated, and self-sufficient
- Show ability to set stretch goals for self and the ability to deliver these with courage and tenacity
