About the role

As a Credit & Collections Officer at Energy Locals, you will play a crucial role in contacting customers who have overdue payments. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues, reconcile accounts, and maintain positive customer relationships. Your exceptional communication and negotiation skills, coupled with a strong understanding of collection processes and industry regulations, will be instrumental in achieving collection targets and minimizing bad debt exposure.

What you'll bring

• an understanding of collection processes, credit and payment terms, and industry regulations
• negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• the ability to analyse financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
• experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems
• strong organizational and time management abilities
• the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
• a knowledge of energy compliance obligations and procedures
