we are looking for a talented Credit / Reconciliation Officer to join our Finance Team at Kings Park, NSW.

Role objective
To implement the company’s credit policies and accounts receivable procedures and provide support and assistance to the Credit Manager in an accurate and timely manner.
Functions & Tasks
- Maintain a strong and positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Respect your work colleagues and only offer positive and/or constructive comments within the workplace.
- Strong reconciliation and Excel skills.
- Primarily responsible for the maintenance of the businesses pet division ledger
- Daily cash receipt allocations from multiple sources to customer debtor accounts
- Reconciliation of the receipts to the general ledger and bank account.
- Make collection calls for past due amounts.
- Send email reminders as required.
- Open new accounts and maintain an accurate debtors / customer master database.
- Prepare monthly reports as required for both customers and management.
- Process credits for rebates approved where required.
- Assist in all month end processes as directed by the Credit Manager.
- Assist with other minor finance functions as directed by the Credit Manager and/or Operational Accountant.
- Answer phone calls and action email in box enquiries, in relation to all accounts receivable matters.
- Release orders on hold in accordance with company policy and in time to meet order despatch cut off times.
- Process general ledger journals entries.
- Assist with Debt Collection in the Credit Manager’s absence, as directed by the Credit Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Other duties as required
- Higher School Certificate or equivalent
- High level of oral and written communication
- Strong computer literacy including good keyboard skills and a sound working of knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products
- High level of organisation skills
- Desirable qualifications in office administration and three (3) or more years’ experience in debt collection and credit department functions.
