Your new role
Your day-to-day tasks will include:- Meeting client needs in the least restrictive way possible
- Completing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports
- Mentoring clients and assisting them to develop independent living skills
- Assisting the client in problem-solving, conflict resolution and relapse reduction
- Managing complex and challenging client behaviours (including aggressive behaviours)
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful candidate, it is a mandate to meet the following criteria:- Homelessness support sector or related field
- Always ensure confidentiality of client information
- Certificate III in Community Services or related field
- Effective communication and time management skills
- Ability to work unsupervised at times as well as an effective team member
- At least one (1) year of experience as a Support or Crisis Worker or equivalent
What you'll get in return
We are looking for a number of casual Crisis Workers to start ASAP. The organisation runs a 24/7 facility; therefore, we have a number of differing shifts on a rotating 24/7 roster. $40.00 per hour, plus super and penalties, weekly pay!
