Your new role
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Meeting client needs in the least restrictive way possible;
- Mentoring clients and assisting them to develop independent living skills;
- Assisting the client in problem-solving, conflict resolution and relapse reduction;
- Completing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports;
- Managing complex and challenging client behaviours (including aggressive behaviours);
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful candidate, it is a mandate to meet the following criteria:
- Certificate III in Community Services or related field
- At least one (1) year of experience as a Support or Crisis Worker or equivalent within the homelessness support sector or related field
- Ensure confidentiality of client information at all times
- Ability to work unsupervised at times as well as an effective team member
- Effective communication and time management skills
What you'll get in return
We are looking for a number of casual Crisis Workers to start in January 2024. The organisation runs a 24/7 facility; therefore, we have a number of differing shifts: 6 am to 2 pm, 2 pm to 10 pm, or 10 pm to 6 am (active). Base salary + penalties, weekly pay!
