About the Role

Temporary opportunity until December 2024

NSW Teachers Federation (Federation) are seeking a proactive and innovative individual with a passion for database management and a keen eye for insightful data analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of driving continuous improvements, coupled with a dedication to aligning efforts with Federation's goals.

The role will lead the implementation and ongoing management of a new CRM system (iMIS by ASI), alongside affiliated websites (RiSE website platform) and integrated marketing automation software. The position will play a pivotal role in driving collaboration across various sections of Federation to identify CRM and website needs, deliver comprehensive training, and introduce forward-thinking customisations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

This role requires a driven individual with experience in database management, innovative and continued improvements, and dedication to assist meeting Federation’s goals. 

About You

To be considered for this role you will need to clearly demonstrate the following essential skills and experience: (Desirable only if in italics)

  • Tertiary qualifications in a Business, IT, Marketing or Data Analytics related discipline 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position  
  • Experience as a technical lead in CRM management, including development, public, and member sites, with proficiency in iMIS and/or RiSE websites preferred. 
  • Proven ability to work as a technical lead and key liaison between organisations in the ongoing management of a CRM and other integrated technologies
  • Demonstrated capability in providing CRM and technical improvements aligned with organisational needs
  • Proven successful track record in transitioning to new CRMs
  • Strong technical background with troubleshooting skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to focus on meeting deadlines
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining reports on membership and community engagement and retention relating to campaigns
  • Proficient in presenting data insights and recommendations
  • Experience in creating visual tools and dashboards for support decision-making
  • Proficient in data analysis to extract meaningful insights on performance to inform Federation’s member and community engagement 
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and projects
  • Ability to train staff in CRM and website usage
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to colleagues with a non-technical background
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to deal with people at all levels including difficult people
  • Strong attention to detail, planning and organising skills
  • Respect for sensitivity and confidentiality of issues handled
  • Experience or willingness to work in a non-profit or member based organisation
  • Commitment to unionism.
