Our client's farming business consists of an extensive broadacre cropping program with winter cereals, canola, pulses, Merino and White Suffolk Studs, and a commercial Merino operation. Covering some 4,000 hectares with 2,500 hectares under crop rotation, this recently expanded business is seeking a motivated person to join its team in a full-time capacity.
This position would suit someone who ideally has a farming background with good farming knowledge and can set up, operate, and maintain large late-model machines while competently performing all cropping operations.
An agricultural degree/trade qualification or an experienced farmhand who wants to move into an operation management role would be an advantage. The successful candidate must be a team player, have a great attitude, be energetic and driven, be willing and want to learn, and be able to be involved in operational decisions.
This long-term position offers great opportunities for someone willing and committed to self-development as external training is promoted. The owner is happy to teach if you lack skills and are dedicated to learning and growing your agricultural career.
Late model farming plants include a 9090 New Holland combine, a 2023 Goldacres 6500L boom spray, a 40-ft Flexicoil air seeder, all fitted with a Trimble RTK GPS system, a Kenworth T 401 Semi and a 2023 New Holland 18.435 tractor for sowing and spreading.
