What You'll Do:
This role is engaging and diverse, providing you with a wealth of experience and a collaborative team atmosphere. Your daily tasks will include:
Daily Tasks Across Sections:
- Ensure feed and water availability
- Monitor pig health and barn environments
- Maintain cleanliness and remove dead pigs
- Uphold animal welfare standards
Record Keeping and Monitoring:
- Maintain accurate records for herd management, effluent removal, and environmental conditions
- Assist with weighing, grading, and selection of pigs
Facility and Equipment Maintenance:
- Regularly check and repair facilities
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment
Environmental Management:
- Oversee tractor and equipment operations
- Manage waste and compost
- Ensure cleanliness and maintain secure premises
Compliance and Assistance:
- Follow all production policies
- Assist other sections as needed
- Support humane treatment of animals
