Crown Prosecutor
$314,380 per annum plus Conveyance Allowance of $17,955 per annum
The Attorney General is seeking applications from persons qualified for appointment as Crown Prosecutors under the Crown Prosecutors Act 1986 for a fixed term of up to seven years that may be renewed following an initial twelve-month acting period.
Crown Prosecutors represent the Director of Public Prosecutions in providing an independent, efficient, fair and just prosecution service for the people of New South Wales. They provide high-level, independent professional representation and advice as Counsel representing the Director in criminal matters in all Criminal Courts.
The positions could be based at various locations around the State, with the successful applicants required to attend regional courts as directed.
Applicants must be Australian lawyers. The key skills and knowledge required for the role are outlined in the online role description and must be addressed in the online application. In particular, applicants should be able to demonstrate their experience in conducting complex jury trials and/or appeals.
