Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast, Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 45 Catholic Schools with around 18,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
About the Role
Reporting to the CSBB Sport Leader, this role will be pivotal in supporting all CSBB Sport teams in both businesses as usual and project activities.
This is a particularly involved role requiring the successful candidate to be actively involved in all sporting championships and carnivals, be physically fit to manage logistics (setting up tents, carrying kit bags etc) and willing to travel.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Applies the CSBB continuous improvement cycle to all aspects of Procurement Management
- Provides CSBB Sport assistance (as directed), sport administration and support
- Event organisation, set up, and official roles
- Coordinates and assists at meetings and events in person and online
- Drafts, collates and circulates CSBB communications, presentations, and general documentation
- CSBB Sport purchases, bookings, invoice payment processing and other financial processing (e.g. staff payments, reimbursements from CSNSW Sport etc.)
- Communication with staff and parents when necessary (including external stakeholders (eg Councils, First Aid organisations, caterers, photographers, clothing companies)
- Equipment management (including physical lifting of tents, kit bags etc) and stock control at offsite location pre and post events as needed
- Organising event and travel logistics for intra state sporting events
About You
- Supportive of, or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context
- Understanding of end to end purchasing processes (purchase order to payment)
- Understanding of basic sport management principles
- Has the ability to work across multiple small projects simultaneously
- Has a keen eye for detail to deliver consistently accurate and informed written and verbal communications suitable for the receiving audience
- Works with the customer in mind to serve their needs and requirements
- Is energised by working in a fast-paced environment
- Is adaptive and responsive to change and can adapt to working under pressure and re-prioritising tasks
- Can manage competing priorities and the sensitivities of others to deliver high quality work
- Has a solutions-focused mindset
- Has advanced knowledge and skill in the Microsoft suite of products, specifically MS TEAMS, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Qualifications
- Certified Sport Management credential or an equivalent level of knowledge in a related discipline gained through any combination of education, training and/or experience
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Qualification or willing to attain one
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence (and own car required) as there is an expectation that travel is required across the geographic span of the Diocese
