What you'll be doing
Provision of sterilising services and thermal disinfection of reusable medical devices, which involves the collection and receipt of contaminated instruments and equipment for reprocessing. Packing, Sterilisation of reusable instruments.
It also requires the delivery of sterile instruments and equipment. Annual mandatory and competency based training is required in addition to attending related in-services and contributing to WH&S and department enhancements.

Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications: Sterilisation Services Certificate III
Selection Criteria:
- Certificate in sterilising services and experience in working in a Hospital Sterilising services department one year or more
- Sound understanding and Knowledge of infection Control requirements , Standards AS/NZ 4187 and ISO in a health care setting
- Demonstrated communication skills – including Verbal, Written and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and busy environment with changing priorities and work demands
- Knowledge and understanding of WH&S legislation and Manual handling techniques to maintain safety in the workplace
- Physically capable of performing all duties-including chemical handling, Biological hazards, Standing for long periods, lifting pushing and pulling loads
