Temporary Cultural Heritage Coordinator position working on a large renewable energy project in WA

Hays is working with a top tier oil and gas company that is looking for a Cultural Heritage Coordinator to join their team on a temporary basis. This position will be providing support to the Australian Renewable Energy Hub based in Western Australia.
Your new role
As the Cultural Heritage Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating Cultural Heritage programs, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations and working closely with traditional owners.
Key responsibilities include:- Manage and coordinate Cultural Heritage programs, ensuring compliance with relevant WA and Commonwealth Aboriginal heritage legislation and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with traditional owners to develop meaningful relationships and engage in collaborative decision-making processes.
- Conducting fieldwork in remote locations, demonstrating the ability to work in challenging physical environments
- Work in a fast-paced and complex environment, utilising problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles and achieve positive outcomes.
- Process knowledge of GIS platforms and applications, including experience with ArcPRO and handheld navigation devices
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualification in Archaeology, Land Management, Environmental Science, or equivalent, demonstrated experience in a remote field logistics, environmental, or Cultural Heritage context.
Understanding of relevant WA and Commonwealth Aboriginal heritage legislation and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of GIS platforms and applications, such as ArcPRO, and use of handheld navigation devices.
Current manual driving licence, ideally with a 4WD certification, and currency in remote first aid.
