The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.
Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. The area has excellent education, recreation, cultural, social and health facilities and tourism is a developing focus for the region.
Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Early Years Outreach Officer
Salary: $73,565.44 per annum pro rata

Part Time (28 hrs p/w) – Temporary (To June 2025)
We have an exciting opportunity for a community minded individual to join the Early Years team to support Culturally and Linguistically Diverse families to access early childhood education and care services.
This role will suit someone with qualifications and / or experience in community services, welfare or early childhood education. Existing connections within our multi-cultural community or the ability to build these will be highly valuable.
While the role has clear key performance indicators there will be flexibility to develop the service and its delivery depending on the community needs.
This person will be able to build on successful programs such as Little Learners, Central registration Support and other Best Start initiatives.
A strong network of Early Years Culturally and Linguistically DiverseOutreach Officers exists across Victoria. The networks provides support for this position in addition to the support of the Early Years team.
While a language other than English is not a requirement for this position it will be highly desirable. Additional hours, flexibility in working hours and arrangements will be available for the right person.
