About the Role:

This position, located in the Curriculum Unit, is part of a dynamic and creative team responsible for the Design and Build component of all Melbourne Polytechnic's educational offerings, leading the design, development, redesign, and review of curriculum, materials, and assessments for Vocational Education and Foundation Programs across the organization.

 
Duties:
  • Contribute to the leadership and implementation of the Melbourne Polytechnic Education Strategy across the organization.
  • Lead and manage course design and development projects, including the inputs, work packages and any additional resources required.
  • Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders, including Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to design and redesign the curriculum learning assessment and resources for the whole organisation.
  • Lead monitor and report on projects to enhance course design and development capability within the organisation.
  • Research, develop and support the implementation of innovative, best practice
    models in flexible future focused course design.

Skills and Experience Required: 
  • A degree or diploma in education or curriculum design in VET together with substantial relevant experience.
    Plus
  • A TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a Certificate IV in Training and
    Assessment (TAE 40110) including Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502) and Address Adult language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLN411) or (TAELLN401A) or Diploma of Vocational Education &Training (TAE50111/TAE50116) or Diploma level or higher Adult education qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in an educational leadership capacity within the Vocational
    Education sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience in all regulatory and compliance requirements for curriculum and assessment development in the VET sector
  • A minimum of 3 years’ recent experience in analysis of curriculum, learning and assessment resources in VET
  • The ability to research, source and analyse external and internal learning and assessment
    resources
