As the Curriculum and Quality Assurance Team Leader within the Academic Support Office of the Faculty of Arts, you play a crucial role in planning and coordinating curriculum development support, offering expert advice to academic staff on policy and processes. Your responsibilities include providing direction and support to team members, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely support across the Faculty.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Effectively plan and coordinate both the university level and faculty level course and subject change proposals process, working closely with key stakeholders, to ensure all changes are complete, reviewed and approved by the required deadline.
- Effectively motivate, coach and supervise staff to achieve goals. Provide clear performance expectations, regular feedback and document performance outcomes, ensuring poor performance is addressed and high performance nurtured and rewarded.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to support quality curriculum design and innovative pedagogy across undergraduate, honours, graduate coursework and graduate research courses;
- Provide high level support in internal and external reviews of courses, majors and specialisations
You will showcase problem-solving skills, an agile mindset, and excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
You will also have:
- A degree or postgraduate qualification with substantial relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training;
- Proven ability to interpret complex policies and procedures and provide high quality advice to academic staff and professional colleagues;
- High-level interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships and influence optimal outcomes for the University, Faculties, and students.
This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
