About the Role
Our client has a rare opportunity for a Customer Director to join their team. This high profile role is responsible for setting strategic direction and achieving transformational sales growth in the Export and QSR channels.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Championing your markets and accounts strategy & optimise the development of Export & QSR channels.
- Drive end to end supply chain for the export channel
- Manage sales performance & distribution metrics
- Develop & implement relevant trade marketing strategies within budget
- Set pricing and trading strategies to maximise returns while maintaining competitiveness
- Continually identify opportunities and set objectives to improve distribution efficiency
- Maintain and improve relationships with all relevant Customer and Distributors Contacts at all levels.
- Develop robust joint business plans that ensure a collaborative approach to profitably grow both businesses.
- You will be a member of the Sales and Extended Leadership teams (SLT & ELT) and report to the Chief Operating Officer
About you
- 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role in a fast paced FMCG environment
- Degree in business or marketing related field. Masters or MBA desirable
- A proven track record of successful sales achievement, performance, and business improvement initiatives
- Outstanding commercial acumen and strong knowledge of sales export to ensure customers’ needs are met
- Understanding and awareness of cultural differences in dealing in overseas markets, particularly Asia
- Sound knowledge and understanding of compliance, policies & procedures, and government regulations
- Experience in sales, export, and marketing or related function with understanding of sales processes
- Best Practices and Ethics
- Asian language skills highly regarded
- Experience in chilled/perishable/food supply chain highly regarded
