At Medibank we're encouraged to think big. We have a clear purpose to impact better health outcomes for our customers, patients and our community.
We celebrate diversity of thought because we want to make better decisions for our customers. As we work towards our goal of better health for better lives, we value the knowledge and contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. We are working hard to create an inclusive workplace and develop Indigenous careers.
Why our team exists
The Customer and insights team exists to create the most customer centric healthcare organisation by ensuring true customer obsession in all we do.
We are courageously impartial, design for joy, focus on impact, driven by curiosity and live for collaboration.
Your impact with us.
As the Customer Insights Manager, you will have access to a range of different data sources to analyse and identify insights to understand the Groups brand positioning and consumer preferences. You will work closely with agency partners to track brand health and measure brand equity. You will connect with cross-functional Hubs and squads to translate insights into actionable strategies that drive strong performance.
There will also be plenty of variation with the opportunity to design and run a variety of ad hoc projects to:
- Help stakeholders create, inform, or develop a strategy or optimise tactical execution.
- Test or optimize a proposed action e.g. an advert, member communication or proposition.
- Help understand customer needs or issues e.g. why customers are leaving us.
- Understand Macro and societal trends and their impact on our customer and organisation.
Day to day, this role could see you:
- Deciding if your day is best spent working from home or the office (we don't go for mandated office attendance days here at Medibank).
- Collaborating with the brand team or creative agency to ensure our advertising is impactful.
- Delivering workshops and training to drive capabilities as part of "Excellence Time" or using this time to read or attend a course to develop yourself.
- Taking some time out to restore and recharge - you might head out for a walking one on one with a team member in the sunshine, get to a lunchtime yoga class or schedule time in your calendar to get to your child's school assembly.

If you're the kind of candidate who tackles challenges with curiosity, solves problems strategically and creatively and excels in influencing stakeholders - we want you!
