What’s on offer?
We are excited to announce that The Fish Factory are recruiting for a Customer Service vacancy. Working directly with the wholesale sales team, this opportunity promotes high levels of autonomy and independence. Being a valuable part of our sales team, the role focuses on preparing customer orders over a Night Shift to promote a smooth order pick and dispatch process. This is a hybrid role, working across an office and warehouse environment, with high levels of activity incorporated into the daily operations of the role.
Your role
This is a full-time position, working 42.5 hours (less breaks) per week including one Saturday shift. Shift times will be 4pm to 12:30am, with the ability to transition into a 5pm to 1:30am shift. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with an attention to detail. Being a quick leaner, you will have high levels of computer literacy to operate our stock management software and take responsibility for order processing and dispatching. You will be joining an established team of sales service personnel, supervised by senior sales staff and overseen by the General Manager – Wholesale. Being able to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, the successful candidate will be adaptable to different situations and circumstances. You will undertake administrative tasks with a keen eye and attention to detail.
The main responsibilities of the position are:
- Data entry – accurately input customer and sales data into databases or other systems.
- Order processing – record, process and collate customer requests and orders.
- Filing and report keeping – maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including contact information and relevant purchase history.
- Assisting sales team – provide assistance to general sales related issues and enquiries
- Communication – maintain strong communication between sales team, management and internal software database.
Work environment
Work is primarily conducted in an office within a warehouse environment. Late starts and Saturday shifts may be associated with this role from time to time in peak periods or to cover team annual leave.
Experience, qualifications & personal attributes
Essential
- Previous experience with order retrievals.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be attentive to customer/client needs.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to work with self-initiative.
- Ability to organise, prioritise, multitask, be flexible and meet deadlines.
- Good standard level knowledge of sales and Customer Services routines.
- Work well with others and be a team player.
- Strong work ethic
Desirable
- Previous sales or admin experience or qualification.
- Experience within the foodservice and/or restaurant industry
