We coordinate social events and activities, support student clubs, operate food and beverage outlets on campus and assist students with academic, financial and personal issues. The role
We are looking for a full time Customer Service Officer to join our team who will:
- Be the first point of contact, respond appropriately and effectively, through the provision of relevant information and referral for all customer enquires made either in person, by phone or email
- Provide a high level Customer Service and administrative support
- Make bookings, process payments and manage sales for services offered through the reception desk
- Maintain records, files and registers
- Sort and distribute mail both inward and outward and arrange courier services as required
- Scope to assist in projects and additional tasks where opportunities arise, however primary responsibility is providing high quality Customer Service and general task completion.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of groups in an enthusiastic manner.
- Motivated to help, with an engaging personality.
- Well-developed Customer Service skills including the ability to deal with difficult, stressed or emotional customers in a calm and competent manner.
- Proven background in office procedures and computer literate.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work unsupervised with good attention to detail.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a tertiary environment.
- Certificate in Business/Office Administration.
- Experience in scheduling and electronic file management systems
- Experience in cash handling, till reconciliation, cheque and EFTPOS transactions and daily banking.
