The Applications and Approvals Team within Access Canberra is seeking Expressions of Interest for our Customer Service Officer positions. The successful applicant/s will provide high quality customer service to clients and members of the public in relation to planning, development, building and related regulatory and operational activities. This can include answering calls via the Customer Service Contact Centre and working on a public counter, assisting in the resolution of issues that arise in the lodgement of development and building applications, construction occupations licensing applications and other associated processes. Other duties include scanning and/or uploading documents and plans into the electronic filing system, maintaining paper and electronic records, preparation of routine less complex correspondence and receiving public money.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements: Applicants must have well developed telephone and written communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English. This position does not involve direct supervision of personnel.
Notes: These are temporary positions available for a period of up to six months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
