About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time Customer Service Officer role within the Commercial Services business unit at Barkuma. Reporting directly to the Production Manager this versatile role offers extensive administrative support to the operations team, aiding in achieving operational and strategic goals. This role requires a commitment to customer safeguarding and developmental support to people with disability, making a meaningful impact on their lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and assisting all site visitors with exceptional Customer Service, acting as the primary contact for commercial customer inquiries and handling duties such as managing sign-ins, inducting contractors, overseeing couriers/deliveries, and ordering supplies and ensuring that appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided to contractors and visitors.
- Supporting NDIS employees with daily check-ins and updates on schedules and generating reports related to NDIS, service agreements, and client management.
- Assisting financial tasks like invoice creation and debtor follow-ups in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
- Providing administrative support to operation teams, including NDIS administration, attendance follow-ups, and data entry.
- Assisting with event organisation and supporting warehousing and logistics tasks as needed.
- Performing additional duties as required, based on skill and training.
- Reporting hazards, near misses and incidents
About you
Successful candidates must bring with them:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and Customer Service skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills and experience with computerised finance systems
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within and across teams to manage the competing demands of a busy environment, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
- Proficient in handling sensitive matters discreetly, demonstrating empathy, and upholding confidentiality
- Ability to work and travel across different Barkuma sites
- Work rights for Australia
- Should have taken 3 COVID vaccines
Qualifications, Certification
- Certificate level Business / Administration qualifications or equivalent experience
This position will be based from our site located at Elizabeth.
DHS Disability Services or NDIS Worker Check along with Working With Children Check and Child Safe Environment Certificate will be required as part of ongoing employment.
