CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER
(Weighbridge Administration)
Based in Gepps Cross, we are looking for a new team member to join our scrap division team in a part-time position as a Customer Service Officer.
About the Role
As the Customer Service Officer, you are responsible for the delivery of excellent Customer service to all external and internal customers. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, whilst also providing invaluable support to our team. Your exceptional organizational and communication skills will be instrumental in handling the day-to-day office tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing high level Customer Service to our valued customer base, both internal and external
- Processing payments, cash payments, and account transactions
- Cash handling and reconciliation
- Responsible for the operation of the weighbridge, accurately recording all inbound and outbound weights and transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them to the appropriate personnel and ensuring timely responses
- Support a range of ad-hoc administrative duties

- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent Customer Service
- Demonstrated experience in providing a broad range of administration skills with a focus on data accuracy and attention to detail
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and organise tasks efficiently, and under pressure with superior attention to detail
- Sound numeracy skills with the ability to carry out accurate reconciliations of financial transactions
- Outgoing, friendly personality with the ability to relate to, and communicate with people from all different cultures
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain confidentiality on all issues relating to the business and individuals
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work outside of rostered hours/days to cover annual/sick leave, to meet the business needs
