ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Customer Service Representative the most important function of your role is to be the first point of contact for customers, handling all their initial enquiries by phone and email. The other primary duties of your role include order booking and acknowledgement, work-order ticket entry, generation of despatch dockets, issuing of test certificates and booking in of inventory and filing of material certificates.
It is essential to develop a thorough working knowledge of the supply chain of the business to ensure you can respond accurately to all enquiries. This means knowing what each department does and who to speak to in order to get the correct information for the customer in a timely manner.
In summary the Customer Service Representative will assist and support Customers, Sales and Operations with information flow and feedback of product enquiries, quotes, sales orders, and order processing status.
ABOUT YOU
· Prior experience in a similar administration or Customer Service role is essential.
· An understanding of metal fabrication is desirable, but not essential.
· Excellent written and verbal communication and comprehension skills.
· Strong computer literacy and experience with Microsoft packages is essential.
· Strong attention to detail and a track record of carrying out tasks accurately.
· A self-starter, who looks for work and assists others when their own tasks are up to date.
