At Aphex (https://www.aphex.co/), we believe that construction teams' tools to plan and communicate their work should have stayed in 1995.

That's why we are on a mission to make it easier for construction teams to get on the same page with a live, multiplayer planning platform. Instead of the current mountain of spreadsheets, whiteboards, and stone tablets, we build tools that allow anyone on a project to plan and communicate their work with complete visibility of everyone working around them.

Our customers are the largest construction contractors, building the tunnels, roads, bridges, and buildings we use daily. Our users are the engineers managing and planning these incredible projects.

We're at an exciting stage of our journey. Having launched our V1 in the UK in 2019, we power most major contractors and projects today. We entered the Australian market in 2022 and have replicated that success as the leading solution. As a team, we have found initial product market fit, have proven we can expand across international markets, and are in the early stages of scaling our go-to-market team.

The role

Customer Success is a broad and important role at Aphex. At the core, it is about onboarding, activating and growing the impact of our platform on construction projects. Our Customer Success team also works hand in hand with our sales team and owns;

  • Set up and deploy across major infrastructure projects or contractors for maximum impact.
  • Activation through nudges, training and influencing the product team.
  • Monitoring project health, then testing and designing playbooks to positively impact it.
  • Building relationships at ground level to support account renewal and growth.

As a Customer Success Manager at Aphex, you will help shape and improve how we deliver these outcomes. This is not a “follow what the book says” role. We encourage everyone to challenge what we do, find better ways and make them a reality. Everyone has the opportunity to grow into whatever role they deliver maximum impact.

The Customer Success team is part of the sales team spread across Brisbane, Sydney, and London. This role will cover APAC customers, and typical hours of work are largely standard Australian hours. However, our remote first approach does allow a high degree of flexibility in your hours. Want to start later and have an evening meeting on Wednesday? No worries.

Who you are

  • You are someone who loves to solve problems and help people
  • You ideally have either a SaaS Customer Success or construction background
  • You are hungry to learn and improve things.
  • You are happy both helping people on the ground and “system-thinking” to improve broader outcomes.
  • You are engaging, genuine, happy and patient.
  • You have great communication skills.
  • You want to make a difference to people and the wider community by tackling a real and sizeable problem.

Nice to haves

  • Experience in Customer Success or sales-adjacent roles
  • Experience in fast-moving SaaS businesses
  • Some experience or knowledge of construction is a bonus but is trumped by an eagerness to learn every day of the week.
