YOUR ROLE
As a Customs Broker, based from our Banksmeadow NSW offices, you will collaborate closely with our classifier and compliers to complete import customs entries accurately and efficiently. Serving as an intermediary between various stakeholders, including importers, government agencies, and non-government entities, you will ensure compliance with government acts, regulations, and policies. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining our reputation for excellence and reliability.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:

• Ensure compliance with all Government Acts, regulations, and policies
• Accurately process customs declaration information based on importer/client data
• Lodge customs entries in alignment with established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), comprising approximately 50% of your role
• Cultivate and maintain exceptional service for internal and external customers, promptly responding to their needs and expectations, including potential customer visits
• Mentor and guide classifiers and compliers to achieve precise and timely processing of customs entries, classifications, and border holds
• Perform additional duties as required by the business to uphold operational efficiency.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate has significant experience as a Customs Broker in Australia, with a strong understanding of local customs regulations and procedures together with:

• Valid Australian Customs Broker licence
• Strong expertise in customs declarations, tariff classification, border compliance and quarantine formalities
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, government agencies, and internal stakeholders
• Proven ability to address complex customs issues and provide effective solutions
• A customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
